What Is A Forex Mini Account?

The FX Mini Account Described

Mini FX trading accounts, also known as Forex minis, are an option for Forex day traders and swing traders who do not have or desire to trade a lot of their capital using large contract sizes of 100,000 or more. FX mini accounts usually offer contract sizes of 10,000 rather than 100,000 and margin requirements for each contract is typically $25 to $50 and up (rather than the $1,000 to $2,000 per contract required in regular accounts).

Account minimums for the mini forex trading accounts are much lower than standard FX accounts (often for a couple hundred dollars and even less in some cases). The mini Foreign Exchange account is ideal for the individual new to forex trading by allowing them to get started with with less initial capital.

In addition, having a Forex mini account allows you more flexibility in regards to customizing your trades and reducing your risks. Therefore those with less money in their bank account can perform better with a mini account. They can feel more at ease in using their mini account because of the advantages and the fact that they have less risk due to less investment. This will assist those with fewer resources byproviding a opportunity to invest in the Forex market without the same level of risk. To sum it up, Forex mini accounts are the best way to go for the new trader to use as little capital as possible and trade in the exciting FX market with a minimum of risk.
